Frequently Asked Questions

Installation

Which platforms does RunLogos support?

macOS 12+ (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 64-bit+. A Linux version is on the roadmap.

How large is the download?

Around 200 MB. RunLogos bundles everything it needs — no separate runtime install required.

Licensing

What does "perpetual" mean?

You own the version you buy, forever. Use it as long as you want with no additional charges. The $19/yr renewal fee keeps you on the latest updates — it's optional.

How many devices can I use my license on?

One license covers 2 devices simultaneously. To activate a third device, deactivate one existing device from Settings → License → Manage Devices.

Can I upgrade from the Trial to a perpetual license?

Yes. Go to Settings → License → Upgrade at any time during or after your 3-month trial. You pay the difference — $20 if Early Bird is still available, $40 otherwise. Your License Key stays the same.

What happens when the Early Bird sells out?

The Early Bird tier disappears and only the Standard price ($49) remains. There are a limited number of Early Bird seats — check the pricing page for current availability.

Features

Is the Community plan really free forever?

Yes. The Markdown editor, Sequence viewer, and Project board are free with no time limit, no account required, and no device restrictions.

What do I need to use the AI Skills?

A paid license (Trial, Early Bird, or Standard). The Skills themselves are built into RunLogos — you don't need a separate API key. RunLogos integrates with your existing AI coding tool setup.

Does RunLogos store my code or project data?

No. All project data lives on your local machine in the logos/ directory, versioned with Git. RunLogos never uploads your code or documents to any server.

Troubleshooting

"openlogos: command not found" after installing CLI

Re-open your terminal after running the installer. If the issue persists, check that /usr/local/bin (macOS) or the npm global bin path is in your PATH.

The app won't open on macOS ("damaged or can't be opened")

Open System Preferences → Security & Privacy and click Open Anyway next to the RunLogos entry. This is a standard macOS Gatekeeper prompt for apps not distributed through the App Store.
